If you or a loved one is spending a significant number of hours in bed due to a health condition, then you might consider renting a low air loss mattress.
What does a low air mattress do?
Powered by a pump or blower system, a low air loss mattress has tiny laser made holes strategically placed through the surface which allows air to move in and out of the mattress on a continuous basis. The benefits of this process are two-fold. One, it allows the mattress to reduce the pressure placed on the body by gravity. And two, it helps moisture be wicked away so the patient stays dry. Why is that important? Because both of those help prevent or reduce the risk of skin ulcers.
We offer two different sizes - Standard and Wide
Our Standard low air loss mattresses measures 80" long x 34" wide. Our Wide low air loss mattress measures 80" long x 42" wide. They do not fit a traditional home bed of any size and it is unsafe to place a smaller mattress on a larger bed frame as it could potentially cause a patient fall. You must have a hospital bed frame in order to use this product.
